Welcoming the 1920’s to the modern Stockholm at Haymarket by Scandic

Earlier this year Haymarket by Scandic took the art deco trend to a nigh high with the opening of their new hotel. Influenced by the roaring 1920’s, the renovation of the hotel takes advantage of the building’s origin. The concept for interior and design are based upon the building’s unique characteristics combined with modern elements that gives a feeling of timelessness with a contemporary soul. Each room have a 1920’s themed design, with features such as marble countertops and velvet couches together with modern design elements including brass faucets and custom wallpaper and textiles.

The hotel is located right in the center of Stockholm. The blue concert hall in Swedish 1920s classical style stands proud right opposite. Just outside, you’ll find farmers markets, cinemas and the shopping streets Kungsgatan and Drottninggatan, bursting with shops, restaurants and cafés.

We did this image showing the different materials mixed with each other matching perfectly with the colors in the look. A bit more masculine, but yet elegant – just like the hotel.
